Spice up the classic backpacking ramen meal with a few simple ingredients!

I’m always on the look out for an easy backpacking meal (that doesn’t cost $18). I love the store-bought dehydrated meals because they’re so easy and convenient but man, they get pricey after a while. Since last summer, I’ve been trying to gather cheap and easy backpacking meals, ideally that you can create with foods you can find at your local grocery store.

So here is a little spin on the classic ramen meal! Add some red curry paste for some spice, a boiled egg or beef jerky for some protein, and a little green onion for something fresh! Trust me, it’s delicious!

All you need is:

  • instant ramen noodles (spice packet included)

  • red curry paste (you can buy the jars or sealed packages)

  • boiled egg/beef jerky

  • green onions

  • camp stove to boil water. I used my Jetboil

  • bowl or Stasher Bag to cook noodles in
